Our mission at Back of House is to establish a platform that embodies trust and transparency for performers and crew members, spanning both amateur and professional companies and productions.
- Respecting Anonymity & Free Expression: We champion the principles of anonymity and free expression. Every individual possesses the right to voice their thoughts without fear of retaliation, censorship, or unwarranted attention.
- Unedited Content Policy: We maintain an unyielding commitment to never editing or altering content submitted through our services.
- Embracing Positivity and Candidness: We do not suppress, filter, or remove content based solely on its positivity or negativity. Every voice matters.
- Acknowledging Leadership: We permit content that references individuals holding prominent roles within a company, such as those with a substantial impact on the work environment (Owners, Creative Directors, Board Members, etc.). This content should pertain to their work-related behavior or performance. We value this information as a representation of a company’s culture and insight for job seekers. Content negatively addressing identifiable individuals beyond this group is not allowed.
- Moderation: In collaboration with our community, we actively moderate content and suspend users who disregard our community guidelines or the professional nature of our services.
- Impartial Stance: Back of House remains impartial, serving as a neutral platform for user-generated content. We refrain from arbitrating factual or opinion-based disputes among users and their current or former employers. Our moderation practices are aligned with these Guidelines, ensuring our neutrality in all instances of dispute.
- Uniform Review Standards: We uphold consistent review standards for all content.
- Methodical Moderation Process: Our content moderation involves a two-step process. Initial review employs proprietary technology that assesses various content attributes. Content not passing the initial review undergoes human moderation by a team to determine its alignment with our guidelines. Additionally, certain content flagged by users undergoes a secondary human review.
