Have you noticed how decentralized prediction platforms are gaining serious attention in the Web3 space?

Prediction markets have been around forever, but something shifted in the last couple of years. Platforms built on blockchain are getting real volume, not just from crypto traders but from people genuinely using them to forecast elections, sports outcomes, and even macro events.

I keep wondering what's interesting about this. Is it the transparency? The fact that payouts are on-chain and not controlled by any single party? Or is the Web3 crowd just finally finding a use case that clicks for mainstream users?

We spent two months evaluating whether to build a decentralized prediction from scratch or use a familiar polymarket clone script as the foundation. Ended up going the clone route, and it was the right call in the growing web3 space.
