White smoke on startup but only sometimes – rebuild or run it till it dies?

Got a 2015 Nissan that's been pretty loyal but last few weeks I've noticed white smoke from the exhaust when I first start it in the morning, then it clears up and drives fine the rest of the day. Coolant level seems a bit low but no milky oil yet so maybe I'm catching it early? I know this could be head gasket or worse but I'm terrified of the quote for proper car engine repair Dubai because every time I mention engine work to a shop they start talking about full overhauls and numbers that make me dizzy. Found a few places online including Dynostar's engine repair page but I'm honestly leaning towards just topping up coolant and hoping it lasts another year. Has anyone actually had this same "only on startup" smoke and gotten away with a small fix like valve seals instead of a whole rebuild? Really need some real world experiences before I make a stupid decision.
